Robonaut2 is a invention that NASA and GM have created to help into the next "era" of space exploration. It is stated in this article that the first Robonaut was to be released but then never was. They stated that there are many improvements with this one. I believe that this is important because it will continue space exploration but will not result in a loss of life.
